Tod Papageorge’s photographs are included in two recent monographs, Passing Through Eden: Photographs of Central Park (Steidl, 2007) and American Sports, 1970—or, How We Spent the War in Vietnam (Aperture, 2008). Aperture will also publish a book of his writings on photography in 2011. Papageorge has been the Walker Evans Professor and Director of Graduate Studies in Photography at the Yale University School of Art since 1979, and was a Resident at the American Academy in Rome for six weeks during the summer of 2009.
